Five Toes Or Two

One of my friends spilled my messenger address to this guy, and surprisingly, I found myself chatting with him for a couple of months. At that point it just seemed natural for us to meet for lunch to see where our budding relationship might go. He lived quite some distance from me, but agreed to meet me on my turf. Imagine my surprise when he showed up in an old truck. We are not talking “classic car” here, we are talking JUNKER. My loser detector went on full alert!

I greeted him at the door and was completely underwhelmed to say the least. He looked like he just came from a construction site, he was completely unkempt and his clothes were dirty, dusty and smelly. He then told me I would have to drive because there was a hole in the floorboard on the passenger side and he did not want me falling through.

We decided to go to an Chinese buffet. It was nice and the food was quite tasty. My assumption that things were getting better were unfortunately short lived.  After telling me how nice I looked, always nice to hear, he proceeded to tell me that he only had two toes on one foot (like I really gave a shit) and how he had lost them as a child playing with his father's rifle. He then told me that he did not have a job. He had lied to me so I would go out with him. He said he was about to lose his house that I found out wasn't a house at all but a friend's garage. Next this pathetic loser started to cry that he was not good looking enough to attract a girl, he had no job, and no prospects. What could I do but just pat his hand and tell him to be patient that there is someone out there for him and that things will work out for him eventually. He did not have enough money to pay for my lunch so we had to go dutch; at which point we went to my apartment.

As we stood at my apartment door he remembered that he had bought a gift for me and that he had left it in the truck. He asked me what my favourite colour was and I said it was yellow. He then ran down the hall in excitement. I wondered what the heck he could have for me that was yellow, and I soon found out. I was totally stunned when he returned with his yellow gift. A bunch of bananas for crying out loud. I was completely speechless. At this point I was informed that since he had too much to drink, he would have to spend the night. I told him (over my dead body) and tried to push him out the door. I could not budge him so I did the only thing I could do. I attacked him with my bananas, hurling them at him until he backed up into the hall, then I slammed the door! He screamed at me to let him in, but there was no way that was happening. I yelled at him he could stuff his bananas up his butt. Then I told him to leave or I would call the cops. Thank God he left before I had to go through that too.

It was a life altering date. I have since moved and no longer allow my friends to fix me up.

I think I will join a dating site, hopefully one that doesn’t have any banana toting sex pots.

My Truck Has A Hole In It

I communicated with a guy online that a friend of mine had given my messenger address to, we chatted for about two months. At that point it just seemed natural for us to meet for lunch to see where our budding relationship might go. He lived over 100 miles away from me, so it was quite a commitment on his part to meet me at my house. I was rather shocked when my much anticipated date shows up in this old junker truck!

I greeted him at the door and was completely underwhelmed to say the least. He looked like he just came from a construction site, he was completely unkempt and his clothes were dirty, dusty and smelly. He told me that I would have to drive his truck to the restaurant. When I asked why he told me he was afraid that his foot would go through the floor as it was rotted away and he wasn’t sure if the piece of cardboard and duct tape he had placed there would hold.

We decided to go to an Chinese buffet. It was nice and the food was very good. Things seemed to be looking up a bit, but that was short lived.  After telling me how nice I looked, always nice to hear, he proceeded to tell me that he only had two toes on one foot (like I really gave a shit) and how he had lost them as a child playing with his father's rifle. He said that he had told me that he had a job so that I would not think him a loser. He was about to be evicted from his friends garage of all things. That was where he was living. He then told me he had no job prospects, no money and he knew he was not too attractive. He sobbed and cried hysterically saying if I didn’t want him he was going to shoot off the toes on his other foot. Rather than beat him about the head and shoulders with a baseball bat like I desperately wanted to, I just bit my tongue and consoled him. I said that he just had to be patient and the right one would come along. It just would not be me. He paid for lunch and then he took me back to my apartment.

As we stood at my apartment door he remembered that he had bought a gift for me and that he had left it in the truck. He asked me what my favorite colour was and I said it was yellow. He then ran down the hall in excitement. I wondered what the heck he could have for me that was yellow, and I soon found out. I was totally stunned when he returned with his yellow gift. A bunch of bananas for crying out loud. I was completely speechless. He then proceeded to tell me he had to spend the night because he had had a little too much to drink and didn’t want to get caught driving. Holy cow! I tried to push him out the door. I could not budge him so I did the only thing I could do. I attacked him with my bananas, hurling them at him until he backed up into the hall, then I slammed the door! He pounded on the door for me to let him in but I would not budge. I told him to pack up his bananas, especially the one in his pants and leave, or I would call the cops. Thank God he left.

It proved to be a costly date. I felt compelled to move, and change my messenger id and email address. My friends know better than to give out my information to casual acquaintances anymore.

I guess I will try a dating site next. At least they can keep your information private as they fix you up; not like my friends. Hopefully the guys on the dating site will not think that the best gift that they have to give is a banana..

Chat Line

What is a chat line? They are essentially a way for people to communicate, either by phone, or via video chatting online. Some services will allow you to chat with several people at once. There are also global chat services that leverage the power of the Internet. Most of these chat line services are for people looking for friendship, relationships, and even sex. Chat lines are becoming increasingly popular and more and more people are using them. It can be a little confusing deciding which service to use, so choose carefully.

                                        Telephone Chatting

Chat services are incredibly easy. Just pick up your phone, call the number, and chat. The first time in you will have to record a personal verbal profile of yourself, but that is not asked for on subsequent visits.

Why are phone chat lines so popular? Well here are a few reason's:

1)Chat lines are just so low tech. No expensive computer to buy. Simply pick up your phone, dial a number, and start talking. Anyone can do that..
2)Phone chat lines allow you to listen to people's verbal profiles. You can tell if you like the sound of the person, if they sound interesting, if they sound boring, if they seem spontaneous – all kinds of things that you cannot detect from written communication. You can also record you own little personal ad.
3)Chat services are mostly local in nature because that is where they are most effective. This makes it easier for you to find someone close to you. This is not always easy to do these days, people just don't have the time on their hands they used to have so phone chat lines are very convenient. This is why so many people prefer them.
4)Phone Chat is just so much more natural a medium to interact with someone on. Especially when they are interesting and you have something in common. It is just so easy to interact that the technology does not get in your way, and at the same time it is just so much easier to hear if someone is lying to you when you discuss things verbally. This fact really helps when it is time to decide whether you want to meet them in person or not.
5)With phone chat lines you don't have to give out your name you can be completely anonymous keeping yourself safe from weirdos and kooks while enjoying yourself and having fun in the process.
6)With phone chat lines you can send as well as receive messages from people  who are also members so it becomes much easier to communicate with people you are interested in.

Phone chat lines will always be around and will always be popular for those looking to meet someone interesting and special, and for those just looking for someone they can call friend and share a few laughs with .

                                   Online Video Chat

Online chatting has been considered a tremendous success when it comes to starting a long term friendship or relationship. Everyday more people are turning to the Internet to find  other people like themselves also looking for that special somebody, someone who shares  the same passions, interests and goals. Some are very much interested in finding their life partner and chatting is a good way to break the ice and is seen as a good starting point. Over the years many adults have found genuine loving relationships that actually lead to happy marriages, most of these happy endings were started by the simple act of chatting.
There are several advantages to online chat such as:

1)You can be completely anonymous and feel safe knowing that you only give out as much info about yourself as you want.
2)You have the possibility of connecting with just about any person of the opposite sex anywhere in the world.
3)If you're gay or lesbian its nice to know that there are hundreds of chatting sites you can use to connect to other gays and lesbians seeking someone to share your life with.
4)You can connect solely with people who have the same interests and passions as yourself.
5)You can also learn about other country’s and cultures by chatting with people online from other parts of the world. You also have the opportunity to exchange photo's and even recipes from other country’s, think of the possibilities, there have been a lot of long term relationships made by people from other country's who met on an online chat site.
6)Online chat lines have such a wide appeal for not only singles but seniors, married couples, adults, christian singles, lesbians, gays the list goes on. You can use online chat lines to connect to long lost friends as well as family members you may have lost contact with over the years, the possibilities are absolutely endless.
7)With online chat you don't necessarily have to be looking or a relationship with someone, you can use online chat to meet and start long term friendships with people in your own town or from around the world.

Online Chat as well as Phone Chat also have their disadvantages, these are a few things to remember when using either one.

1)People can hide their true identity.
2)People can lie about their marital status.
3)People can be dishonest about their age and sex.
4)People can hide their true character.
5)People can hide their true intentions.
6)People can also hide and lie about their criminal background.
7)People online can be a sexual predator so be careful before meeting

Never the less, using reasonable caution, you will find phone chatting a lot less risky than talking to someone in a bar. So now that you know the risks and rewards of online chatting, you are likely ready to try it out. Below you will find a link to a site that I think you will be happy with. It is one of the best places to find great chat services.

I'm Not On The Menu

Several years ago I found my self alone, when my husband, and father of my 2 children, left us. I entered a period where I worked hard, looked after my kids as best I could, and had virtually no social life to speak of. My two best friends, also single mothers, helped get me through this period. What social life we had was usually at one of our homes together, snacking, watching TV, or just talking. Often our conversations wandered into what type of man we would like to have in our lives the next time love came calling. Of course we didn't really expect to meet our “Mr Perfect” anytime soon.

A friend of mine suggested that maybe I try out this brand new dating site that had just started up. I'll call it, “MEN-R-US” to avoid any liability issues so I went online to give it a go. I met this dork, I mean male shortly after joining, he seemed smart, seemed articulate and humorous. We chatted back and forth for a few weeks, as I informed him that I wanted to take things slow and that it had been a long time since I had been with a man in any kind of a relationship. I brought up the subject of my children early on, and he was fine with that because he said he had a son as well. He said that he loved kids and that being with his son was the biggest joy in his life. Everything seemed good to me, so I agreed to go out for dinner and dancing with him.

I went all out for that date! Hair, manicure, new dress, everything! I had arranged for a good friend to babysit and had picked her up earlier. As I sat there putting on my makeup, I was totally stressed out that he would not find me acceptable. I have to admit that I was halfway in love with the guy and I had not even met him. I really wanted this to work out. My friend told me to calm down before I hyperventilated, she told me to try not to look too needy or I would scare him off.  If only I had, this story would have had a different ending! So after collecting my self I went outside to wait for him as he was going to swing by and pick me up. Suddenly, there he was! I was so impatient to set my eyes on his gorgeous body, dreamy green eyes and wavy blond hair that I literally rushed up to his car as it pulled into the driveway. I bent over to say hi and was shocked senseless! I hoped that it was not him and that he had sent a friend over to tell me that he could not make it. I actually pinched myself to wake up from this horrible dream, but to no avail. There he sat, and he sure was not what I was expecting! I was so stunned that I just stood there like a dumb mute. Not knowing what else to do, I silently got into the car.

All the way to the restaurant I keep asking my self why are you in a car with a guy who looks like hes wearing a squirrel on his head. I guess I fell for the oldest online dating trick in the book. The fake profile picture..  He looked to be bald under that cheap rug. But the more I looked at it, the more it seemed that he just had it on wrong. Backwards or something stupid like that. His eyes were not the amazing green of the online profile either. He had dark eyes that were all bloodshot. He looked like he had a serious drug addiction. The well toned muscles in the picture were nowhere in evidence on this sorry excuse for a man. On top of everything, his idea of a top ranked restaurant was slightly better than a MacDonald's, only not as clean.  I prayed that no one I knew would see me with this dork, not just for my own sake but because I did not think my children could ever live it down.

We walked in and sat down at a corner table with a white table cloth and a candle in a little glass. It was actually not that bad looking from the inside. The decor was nice, and the waiters were all dressed in suits and ties. Maybe his idea of classy was not that bad after all. I had a chicken caesar and he had pork chops. He had a bad case of roman hands and russian fingers if you get my drift. My hand was sore from slapping at him before the entree was served. He made a remark about me being hot to trot since I had not had sex in years, and how I must be raring to have at it with a real man. I politely told him if I wanted to be with a real man I would not be here with him. After eating, he asked me to dance. Once again, I had to keep removing his hands from various parts of my anatomy. I guess to show me what a great catch he was he decided to show off his dancing prowess. He tried to jive with me. At one point his hand slipped out of mine and I stumbled into the bar. Well that was about all I could take. I stormed out of the restaurant and caught a cab outside to the hospital. I was lucky that my broken nose set almost straight. In any event it is a constant reminder that I need to be more careful.

No more dating advice for me! From that point on I did my own site sleuthing. I worked long and hard and found several decent sites.

During my site research, I found the following link, and it made it easy for me to select sites that were the best for me.:

Are Gay Men Shallow

Some people believe that all gay men are shallow when it comes to finding someone they would like to have a long term relationship with. But that just isn’t how it is.  Sure many of us prefer someone who is healthy as well as physically fit; heck you can say the same thing about heterosexuals as well. In fact sometimes it is hard for people that do not fit that criteria to find a partner. It can be even harder for gay men because they make up a smaller part of the general population. Some gay men are shallow and there's not a lot you can do to change that. My idea is that if they do not like me then they can kiss my not so flabby tush.

With age comes wisdom, and as gay men mature, they will tend to mellow out and look for someone who is more of a friend than just a hot body. But until that day comes you might just have to take what you can get, or try going to the gym once in awhile. Appearance is definitely a big factor, but it is not the only thing in the game of love between young gay men. Not many guys want to date someone that is over weight. Personally looks are still an important factor before I would think about about approaching another man, let alone start a relationship with them.  If that makes me shallow, so be it, but I know what I want.

Why are so many young gay men interested in slim trim athletic types? Guys in general are sexual creatures and want to have sex with good looking guys. This is also true for many young men are only looking for sex and not any form of long term commitment. But with varying 'attractive' criteria in different cultures, it is still possible for chubby men to get action. It really does not matter the reasons why people choose the way they do. Some people just behave this way when it comes to picking a lover its just who they are.

I know many people in my life that I would not consider dating, but I still like them as friends. I have some great friends that I cherish for the friends that they are, and I met the majority of them via online dating sites. I love meeting people online because it tends to push my extended network of friends so much farther than I could ever do within my existing network of pals. You might think that I am callous because I can see what they look like before I put the moves on them, but it is more than that. Many of them are people that I happened to meet in chat rooms on dating sites and I became interested in them because of what they had to say. I have not dated many of them, but I do consider many of them to be among my circle of friends now. With my busy life style, I do not get a lot of opportunities to just troll bars looking for a lay, so my escape hatch is gay dating sites where I can hang out for a short time talking to people that I have come to know and respect.

I think I am at that cusp in my life where I am transitioning from casual pickups to a long term commitment. I am not quite ready to make the commitment jump yet, but I am thinking that a few longer term relationships might help me get past the fear that I have of being exclusive with just one person. For me, online dating is a useful tool that helps me find new tools (LOL). If you start dating and the person seems to be rushing it and making you uncomfortable, it is easy to move on. And if by chance they start to hassle you online, well all you have to do is block them, with online dating sites your real email address phone number and address are never given out so there's no worry about someone bothering you unless you were stupid and gave them your personal contact information already.  The best thing though is that most of the men on dating sites are just like you, and are unlikely to push themselves on someone where the affection is not being returned.

Most men are not overly particular about your looks. They are primarily looking for someone to hang with. They would like someone with similar interests, who is intellectually challenging and has compatible personality traits. Someone who is  compassionate, caring and giving. Someone who's company they can enjoy. Someone who will be there in the morning.

So if your looking for love in all the wrong places then join an online dating site to expand your horizons. There are literally hundreds of gay dating sites just waiting to help you meet someone special. They have members from all walks of life and religions all looking for someone to share their time and lives with. So why wait? Get off your butt, get online and check them out. You won't be disappointed. If nothing else you're sure to make some good friends. Below is the link to the site that I use, they have so many sites to chose from, I'm sure you'll find one that has what your looking for.

Lesbians

For many lesbians, finding the love of your life can be as easy as googling for lesbian dating sites (or even some more general purpose online dating sites) and creating an informative profile that is fun and friendly, and then just sit back and wait for them to come to you. It can be that easy but you will get a lot more action if you take the time to initiate contact with other people on the site. So spend some time reading other profiles online, because not only might you find some really interesting females to connect to, but you could also get some good ideas of things that you could have put in your profile or different ways of phrasing your profile to make it more interesting. After all, if something in someone else's profile catches your eye, then something similarly phrased in your profile will likely catch someone else's eye as well. A great number of lesbians find themselves in groups of singles while they are doing things they enjoy, are at work, and attending social gatherings. If you are at some sort of specialty event, then there is a good chance that you might meet someone there that has similar interests to you.

A common mistake that a lot of lesbians make when having their first relationship is rushing into things too quickly. Before you end up waking up next to an individual that you barely know. Go out together for a while, get to know each other to find out if you have anything in common. You need to have some common interests, values and plans for the future that will compliment each other. Share things with each other, if you get a new job, if a acquaintance has a baby, a wedding coming up, a promotion you might have gotten, share these things with you partner, after all, they are your best friend, not just your lover.

If you are at a family gathering or with friends and someone starts telling gay and lesbian jokes that are in bad taste and insulting to you and your partner, and you see your partner is disgusted by it, just get up and leave, tell them you came to enjoy yourselves not to listen to a lot of trash about how other people live their lives. One awkward situation would be to find yourselves at a social or family gathering and hear people dissing the gay and lesbian community at large. This will require you to make a stand and let people know that you will not tolerate statements of that nature. Insult them if you have to. If your family and friends are aware of your sexual preference then tell them that you are not at all happy about what was said, and that if they think your way of life is something to be made fun of and make jokes about then please don't expect you and your partner to attend any more get togethers. You will love who you want and you don't care what anybody else thinks or says.

When it comes to your partner, make sure that you involve have them meet your family and friends as much as possible. This is an important step to establishing and keeping a relationship.

Lesbians are God's chosen people, especially when it comes to STD's like aids.. Women just totally understand how to please each other during sex.  Gay men have a similar advantage, but too bad about the aids specter.  Pity the poor heterosexual couples where each party is not quite sure what makes the other either satisfied or happy.

Life is for living and enjoying, so live it to the fullest. Live, love and share your life with others, and try to surround yourselves with loving and caring family and friends who accept you for what you are and will be there for you at any time should you need them.

Remember that other people may not be comfortable with a lifestyle that they are confused about so ensure that you at least surround yourself with friends and family who have a positive attitude to both you, your sexuality, and your situation.  Since you are lesbians, then it would be best if many of your friends are from the lesbian community. Open minded heterosexual friends are tough to find, so if you have a few, cherish them and nurture them.

God created Adam and Eve, but much suppressed in the early bible was any reference to Eva, who was Eve's lesbian playmate. God was amazing, because she totally understood the needs of women.

What a Banana

One of my friends spilled my messenger address to this guy, and surprisingly, I found myself chatting with him for a couple of months. We finally decided to meet for lunch one day as a way to see if anything more would develop. He lived quite some distance from me, but agreed to meet me on my turf. I was rather shocked when my much anticipated date shows up in this old junker truck!

When I opened the door for him, I was in for more disappointment. He looked like he had just crawled out from under his truck, and apparently that is what had happened. His truck had broken down, and not wanting to be late he decided not to change after fixing it. He insisted that I drive, and when I got in and saw a gaping hole in the passenger floor boards, I understood why.

We went to a small Chinese buffet for lunch. It was nice and the food was quite tasty. I was starting to become impressed, but that did not last too long.  He did the usual compliments about me and then proceeded to tell me an anecdote of how he had lost most of the toes on one foot because of a childhood accident with his dad's loaded rifle. Like I cared. He then went on to tell me that he didn't really have a job and that he lied about having one so I would go out with him. Then I found out he was going to be evicted from his friend's garage because he could not pay his rent. Then this loser started to blubber that he had nothing. No job, no prospects and he knew that he was not good looking. He was so annoying it was pathetic. What could I do but just pat his hand and tell him to be patient that there is someone out there for him and that things will work out for him eventually. He paid for lunch and then he took me back to my apartment.

He told me he had a gift for me in the truck and said he hoped that yellow was my favorite color. I told him it was and he seemed pleased as he raced away. I stood there wondering what in the world could he have bought me that was yellow. Well I soon found out. I was totally stunned when he returned with his yellow gift. A bunch of bananas for crying out loud. I was completely speechless. At his point I was informed that since he had too much to drink, he would have to spend the night. Holy cow! I tried to push him out the door. I was desperate to get him out so I did the first thing that came to mind. I attacked him with my bananas, hurling them at him until he backed up into the hall, then I slammed the door! He continued pounding on my door saying let me in. I told him to take his bananas and go or I would call the police; so he left.

It proved to be a costly date. I have since moved and no longer allow my friends to fix me up.

I am going to try an online dating site. They guarantee anonymity. Hopefully the guys their can come up with something other than just their bananas to keep me happy.
