Sexy BBW Ladies

Most people have their own personal concept of what “sexy” is. Therefore, the definition of “sexy” will cover many varieties of ideals. Social mores change, and with that change comes a shift in what it is that is considered to be a sexy person. Sex, for most of the twentieth century, was considered to be a topic that should not be discussed in polite company. The Victorian era made the discussion of sex a taboo. But coupled with the ascension of the film industry as an entertainment media for the masses a profound shift on society mores resulted.  The movie industry had a penchant for picking stars that were very slender compared to the norms of the time. It was driven by a simple enough reason; cameras add pounds, so stars have to be slimmer to look normal on screen.  As these stars were seen more and more in public, and because these stars were all promoted as sex symbols, society gradually shifted its idea of sexy from voluptuous to thin.

Throughout history, voluptuous women were preferentially sought out by men. Men were attracted to larger women because they understood that they tended to be better child bearers and more nurturing.  Even in during the last ice age, small figurines usually depicted their goddesses as voluptuous women and in most cases these statuettes were more fat than just curvy.Even 50,000 years ago, figurines that have been unearthed have shown that larger women were considered to be mother figures and the embodiment of life. During the last ice age, cave dwelling people in Europe created figurines of large women goddesses. Their ideal of the embodiment of a fruitful and renewing life.In the play “Fiddler on the Roof”, which is a story about Russian peasant society at the turn of the twentieth century, one of the songs depicts a rich man's wife as having a “proper double chin”. In other words, for much of history, being portly was a status symbol, because it proved you had plenty to eat, and therefore must be well to do.

At the end of the twentieth century, there was a major amount of immigration to North America and Great Britain from mid-eastern and far-eastern cultures. With these cultures have also come the more traditional preference for larger families and women who will bear larger families.  BBW women are back in vogue. Perhaps in a few more years, more heavy women will be seen as iconic sex symbols. Mae West was very voluptuous, but in the early 20s and 30s she was most men’s wet dream.

Society is undergoing another shift so that skinny boy figures are less acceptable and voluptuous naturally endowed women are back in fashion. Skinny women are flocking to plastic surgeons in droves for boob and butt implants. For those who cannot afford plastic surgery, slender women are lining up at lingerie stores to buy double and triple push up bras.  Men are let down with falsie types.  Men are discovering that a more voluptuous woman will never let down their expectations.  And on that note, who is more voluptuous than a BBW?
